If you’ve been interested at all in the Disney Wish, then you’ve likely seen plenty of photos! Booking a service does not include access to these indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. Adults will enjoy relaxing in the Quiet Cove on the upper deck, rear of the ship. There’s a small adults-only infinity pool, two hot tubs, an outdoor shower, a bar, a café and plenty of cushioned seating. Even the lounge chairs here are cushioned, unlike the loungers on the rest of the ship. Known for its Broadway-caliber live productions, Disney Cruise Line has mastered family-friendly entertainment. The sound effects, especially when the video wall shifts into hyper speed to travel to another galaxy, can make it difficult to have a conversation. Although Hyperspace Lounge doesn’t compare to the Star Wars ride at Disney World, fans of the movies will still get a kick out of having a drink here. The theme park feel of a Disney cruise extends to the restaurants and bars, where entertainment is as important as what’s on the menu. The only decision passengers have to make is whether they’d prefer the early or late dinner seating. The activities onboard the Disney Wish are pretty similar as the other cruise ships, although slightly lacking.

One complaint that we had about the bars and lounges is that there aren’t really any non-alcoholic drinks on the menus that are actually geared toward adults. We would love to see more inclusive menu items from Disney Cruise Line so that those who are avoiding alcohol for whatever reason can also enjoy these spaces. On the Disney Fantasy, The Meridian actually carried Seedlip Nonalcoholic Gin, and we’d love to see more Disney Cruise Line ships follow suit. The constant supply of “mocktails” that include ice cream really gets old and we’d love to see more inventive choices for those who don’t drink.

The scrambled eggs at breakfast are still a no for me here, but everything else we had was great! Also just like Cabanas, you can choose to eat inside or outside. While we had made another reservation for the Hyperspace Lounge at 11 PM tonight, we decided to close out the evening at our favorite bar on the ship instead, The Bayou.

There are also cabins available for those with visual impairments. The kid's clubs, especially the Oceaneer Club for kids 3 through 12, were next-level fantastic. I thought the teen and tween clubs were elevated, too, but my 13-year-olds said they liked one on the Magic better. The three main dining rooms on the Wish are Arendelle, Worlds of Marvel, and 1923. Not only is it bigger than any of the other Disney Cruise ships, but the layout is also a bit different. If you love the familiarity of the other boats, forget all of that before you board the Disney Wish. This is a different ship altogether and you really just need to be ok with that! The layout is definitely more confusing, as it is less linear and has more curves.
There’s no entertainment at this restaurant; that’s not unexpected on most Disney ships — but for the Wish, it’s an outlier as the only rotational dining restaurant without a show. As such, our reviewers felt that this was the restaurant to skip if you’re on a shorter cruise and need to pick a night to experience Palo Steakhouse or Enchanté.
